Around 2:10pm Saturday, February 24th police and first responders attended a reported two vehicle collision on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish.
It appears that a 16 year old girl from Paget riding a 50cc auxiliary cycle along North Shore Road collided with a car being driven in the opposite direction, near the junction with Radnor Road.
The teen apparently sustained a leg injury and was transported via ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment.
At last check this morning (February 23rd) the driver injured in a single vehicle car crash around 3pm Thursday, February 22nd on Orange Valley Road in Devonshire – believed to be a 30 year old Smith’s parish woman – had been treated and discharged from hospital.
Inquiries continue and any witnesses are asked to contact the main police telephone number 295-0011.
At approximately 3pm today, February 22nd, police and other first responders attended an incident in Devonshire.
Upon police arrival it was ascertained that a car somehow was driven off an embankment on Orange Valley Road, Devonshire, approximately 100 meters north of the junction with Jubilee Road.
The lone female occupant was extricated out of the vehicle and was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital with injuries that do not appear to be life-threatening.
The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 50 year old Frank Marzocca and extends sincere condolences to his family and friends.
Around 3:30pm Wednesday, February 21st police and first responders were dispatched to a reported medical emergency involving Mr. Marzocca outside the Unfinished Church in St. George’s.
Around 8:40am Thursday, February 22nd police, Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service personnel as well as ambulance personnel were dispatched to a reported two vehicle collision on Middle Road in Southampton, near the junction with Lighthouse Road.
Initial information suggests that a car and a motorcycle were involved.
Apparently the male rider was injured and taken to hospital via ambulance for treatment.
At approximately 3:30pm today (Wednesday) a medical emergency was reported. The incident occurred outside the Unfinished Church in St. George's.
It appears that a 50 year old male tourist from New York was sightseeing when he suddenly collapsed. He was attended to by members of the public and his family until first responders arrived.
Inquiries are underway regarding two reported incidents of indecent exposure encountered by two different women – each apparently walking alone – that occurred in two different locations over the weekend.
The first was reported to have occurred around 9:30am Saturday, February 17th under a bridge along the Railway Trail in the Grape Bay Drive, Paget area.
That suspect was described as a black male wearing a white T-shirt and brown pants.
At 5:10pm on Friday February 16th police responded to a report of a robbery that took place on Kent Street in St. George's.
The complainant reported that he was walking along the said street in the vicinity of the Unfinished Church, when he was approached by a lone rider on a dark coloured cycle who made demands of money.
As a result, the victim gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money and the suspect then made good his escape.
The Bermuda Police Service would like to advise the public that the following vehicle disposal list will be published in the Royal Gazette on February 23rd 2018 and March 9th 2018.
Any vehicle not claimed within twenty-one (21) days of the final notice, will be disposed of in accordance with the Police Property Act, 1921.
Police responded to a report of a road traffic collision that took place on Wednesday February 14th at 8:09am on Middle Road in Southampton in the area of Five Star Island. It appears that a car was travelling in an easterly direction along Middle Road near Five Star Island and a van was traveling in the opposite direction and one of the vehicles crossed the yellow line resulting in a collision.
Both drivers of the vehicles were taken to the hospital with injuries, one with arm and upper body injuries and the other driver received arm and head injuries.
