Sudden Death of 3 Month Old Boy Roman Edwards-Easton

Chief Inspector Na’imah Astwood – Separately, the Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the sudden death of 3 month old Roman Edwards-Easton and extends sincere condolences to the Edwards and Easton families.

An investigation regarding the circumstances of the infant boy’s death continues. An overseas forensic pathologist is currently in Bermuda and will perform an autopsy.

Anyone with any information regarding the sudden death of 3 month old Roman Edwards-Easton is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Renay Rock on 717-0996.

Investigation Into the Death of 30 Year Old Mr. Dejon Simmons

Chief Inspector Na’imah Astwood – Sadly, the Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 30 year old Dejon Simmons and extends sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Mr. Simmons was seriously injured in an altercation with another man on Front Street around 3:15am Sunday, March 18th.

He was rushed via ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, where he remained in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit until his death this morning.

Investigation Continues: Double Road Fatality on Marsh Folly Road

The investigation continues regarding the fatal collision that claimed the lives of motorcyclists 29 year old Demarcvjai (Marvin) Williams and 34 year old Marco Salema.

The officer in charge of the investigation is now Constable Asaph Rawlins of the Roads Policing Unit and any witnesses or persons with knowledge of either victim’s movements two hours prior to 9:30pm Friday, March 16th are encouraged to call 247-1788.

Firstly let me reiterate on behalf of the Bermuda Police Service our sincere condolences to the family & friends of Mark Dombroski.

The Bermuda Police Service is progressing the investigation into the death of Mark, a visiting 19 year old American college freshman.

A team of investigators is actively continuing their inquiries into the circumstances of Mark’s death.

Trainee Police Motorcyclist Sustained Minor Leg Injury in Paget Crash

Around 10:30am today (March 20th) a police motorcyclist taking part in the current police motorcycle training course crashed on South Road in Paget.

Initial information suggests that the incident occurred near the junction with Mission Road and that the officer involved sustained a minor leg injury which did not require hospital treatment.

However, he was treated at the scene by attending ambulance personnel.

Sudden Death of Infant

Around 4:30pm today (March 19th) police and first responders received a report of an unresponsive infant at a Swansbay Hill, Pembroke residence.

Details are limited at this time. However the infant, believed to be a 3 month old boy, was rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance but sadly, later pronounced dead.

No further information regarding the deceased child will be provided at this time, until next of kin have been notified.

5:30pm Press Conference: BPS Confirm Death of 19 Year Old Mark Dombroski

Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police James Howard – It is with sadness that the Bermuda Police Service (BPS) can now confirm the death of 19 year old Mark Dombroski of Pennsylvania U.S.A. and we extend our heartfelt condolences to the Dombroski family.

His body was found in the moat at Fort Prospect, which is located between Mary Victoria Road and Police Headquarters in Devonshire.

The area has been cordoned off and the scene will be processed by officers from the Forensic Support Unit. An autopsy is anticipated in due course.

Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police James Howard – Good Afternoon Members of the Media & Public,

The Bermuda Police Service (BPS) is conducting a full investigation into the disappearance of 19 year old American visitor Mark Dombroski. Mark is a freshman student at St. Joseph’s University in Pennsylvania U.S.A.

Mark, is a member of St. Joseph’s University rugby team, that came to the island on Thursday, March 15th to compete in the 2018 Ariel Re Bermuda International 7s Rugby Tournament. There were 20 teams, both local and overseas, competing.

The tournament finished on Saturday afternoon (March 17th). It then appears that Mark along with friends and family went out to socialise.

The last time he was seen by his family and friends was a few minutes after 12am Sunday, March 18th at The Dog House (a local restaurant and bar) on Front Street in the City of Hamilton.

Police are asking for the public's assistance in locating 19 year old Mark Dombroski, of Pennsylvania who is a visitor to the island on a Rugby Tour with St. Joseph’s University.

He was last seen at The Dog House on Front Street at 12am this morning. He is due to leave the island today.

Description – Caucasian of small build, 6 feet tall with close cut blonde hair and apparently last seen wearing a green T-shirt.
