Reported Stabbing

At a few minutes after 7pm, police responded to a report of an incident that took place on Church Street in the area of City Hall. It appears that two males got into an altercation resulting in one of those males brandishing a bladed article and stabbing a 54 year old man. The victim was taken to the hospital, where he was treated for injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.

Reported Stolen Vehicles Overnight

In apparently separate incidents, two vehicles were reported stolen overnight.

In Paget, it appears that a black Chevrolet Spark bearing license plate number 30382 was removed from outside a White Sands Road residence sometime between 10pm Friday, June 12th and 5am Saturday, June 13th.

Reported Serious Collision in Sandys Parish

Around 7:55am on Saturday, June 13th first responders were dispatched to a reported serious collision on Malabar Road in Sandys parish just west of Watford Bridge.

It appears that a motorcycle being ridden out of Dockyard collided with the curb. The injured male rider was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment; however at this time the extent of his injuries is unknown.

Two Vehicle Collision Near Hamilton Police Station

Around 11:40am on Thursday, June 11th first responders attended a reported two vehicle collision at the junction of Victoria Street and Court Street in Pembroke, near the Hamilton Police Station, involving a car and a motorcycle.

It appears that the female motorcyclist involved was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment of apparently minor injuries and later released.

Policing for National Heroes’ Day Holiday Weekend

Chief Inspector Calvin Smith – This year the National Heroes’ Day holiday weekend celebration will feature some new and exciting additions to the calendar of activities, with approximately 18 different events across the Island over the long weekend.

These events will be held island-wide from Dockyard to St. George’s over a four day period starting tomorrow.

Pink Handbag Taken From Visitors on Railway Trail in Sandys Parish

Detectives are currently investigating a reported robbery that occurred along the Railway Trail in Sandys parish between Somerset Bridge and Sound View Road Wednesday afternoon.

It appears that around 1:30pm Wednesday, June 10th a visiting couple was walking along a section of the Railway Trail, in the vicinity of the Heydon Trust property, when they were accosted by an unknown male apparently brandishing a hammer.

Gas Station Burglar Steals Charity Money

Detectives are currently investigating a reported burglary that occurred at the Port Royal Esso gas station on Middle Road in Southampton early Wednesday morning.

It appears that around 1:20am Wednesday, June 10th a lone intruder – described as a dark complexioned male wearing white and black shoes, black pants, a blue shirt and a black helmet – gained entry into the premises and stole an undisclosed amount of cash in a charity container before fleeing on a dark coloured motorcycle, apparently heading east on Middle Road.

St. George's Butterfield Bank Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested

The Bermuda Police Service can confirm that a 39 year old St. George’s man has been arrested in connection with the armed robbery that took place today at Butterfield Bank in St. George's and the investigation into the incident is ongoing. Police are still appealing for witnesses or anyone with any information to contact police on 295-0011.

Reported Armed Robbery at Butterfield Bank in St. George's

Around 12:05pm on Tuesday, June 9th police officers responded to a reported robbery in progress at the Butterfield Bank branch in St. George's.

It appears that the suspect, described as a black male, approximately 5'10" tall of slim build wearing a red hooded top, black pants and white gloves, entered the bank brandishing what appeared to be a firearm and demanded money.

He then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Two Males Arrested After Reported Robbery of Taxi Driver

Around 12:10am on Tuesday, June 9th police received a report of a robbery.

It appears that around 11:50pm Monday, June 8th a taxi driver was flagged down by an unknown male on South Road in Southampton, near the junction with Horseshoe Road.

As the taxi stopped in the bus turn around area, the vehicle was apparently approached by three other males, two brandishing blunt objects and one brandishing a bladed article.
