First responders attended a report of a road traffic collision that took place at 5:39am in the area of South Road and Vickers Bay Road in Devonshire.
It appears that a truck was travelling west on South Road when the driver lost control of his vehicle and collided with two walkers, a 52 year old woman and a 32 year old man.
The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 62 year old William Smith, a visitor from South Carolina, USA and extends condolences to his family and friends.
It appears that Mr. Smith was snorkeling with a visiting male friend in the east Whale Bay area at the Fairmont Southampton Resort around 1:10pm Sunday, June 21st when he encountered difficulty.
Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police Martin Weekes - The Bermuda Police Service is appealing for witnesses to come forward with information that will assist in ongoing enquiries into the discharge of a firearm in the Ingham’s Vale area of North Shore Road, Pembroke.
On two occasions in the last week a number of shots have been fired late at night at an apartment on this residential street. No persons have been hurt in these incidents however the persons who have committed these offences are doing so with a blatant disregard for public safety.
Around 1:10pm on Sunday, June 21st first responders were dispatched to the apparent drowning of a male visitor at the Fairmont Southampton Resort near Whaler Inn.
It appears that a 62 year old American man was snorkeling in the east Whale Bay area with a visiting male friend when he encountered difficulty.
At 12:50am (Sunday) police responded to reports of gun shots being fired in the Ingham Vale Pembroke area. Upon police arrival it was forensically determined that shots were discharged.
At this juncture it does not appear that anyone was injured. Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have any information in relation to this incident to please contact police on 295-0011 or call the confidential Crime Stoppers hotline number on 800-8477.
Bermuda Police can now confirm the death of 23 year old Joshua Ball of Euclid Ave in Pembroke who was found in non-responsive state at his residence at 1:29am Saturday.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mr. Ball's death is underway and the Bermuda Police Service would like to extend our sympathies to the family and friends of Joshua Ball.
First responders attended a report of an incident that took place at a residence on Euclid Avenue in Pembroke at 1:29am on Saturday morning.
It appears that a 23 year old Pembroke man was found in a non-responsive state behind the residence. The Pembroke man was taken to the hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries.
First responders attended a report of an incident that took place on Friday at 11:23pm on Middle Road in Southampton in the area of Greene's Guest House.
It appear that two males ages 16 and 17 years old were travelling on auxiliary cycles on Middle Road when one of the males lost control of his cycle and collided with a wall outside of a house on the left hand side of the road.
Around 9:35pm on Friday, June 19th first responders were dispatched to an incident on Court Street in Pembroke.
Details are limited at this time; however it appears that a scuffle occurred between two men.
One of the men involved apparently sustained minor injuries while the other was arrested in connection with the incident.
Around 7:20pm on Friday, June 19th first responders were dispatched to a report of an unresponsive male in the St. Mary's Road, Warwick area.
Details remain limited at this time; however the deceased is believed to have been in his 50s.
Detectives along with the Forensic Support Unit attended the scene and inquiries regarding the circumstances of this sudden death are underway.
