Reported Disturbance in Pembroke

A few minutes before 2:30pm police responded to a report of an incident that took place in the Marsh Folly Road, Palmetto Road Pembroke area.

Details surrounding the incident are still sketchy but it appears that four males brandishing a bladed article and a piece of wood attacked a male employee of Works and Engineering who was working on location.

The male victim defended himself resulting in one of the four attackers receiving serious head injuries.

BPS Response to Media Queries Regarding Removal of Bermuda Stone

Commissioner of Police Michael DeSilva - Mr. Keith Masser of the Ministry of Public Works contacted the Bermuda Police Service (BPS) on Monday 13th April and reported that stone had been removed by a contractor without consent from Black Watch Pass over that previous weekend.

He subsequently re-contacted the police later in the day and reported that there might be a misunderstanding as to whether or not the contractor had received permission from the Ministry to remove the stone.

19 Year old Male Stab Victim Recovering

At last check the 19 year old Sandys parish man injured in an apparent stabbing that occurred around 6pm Saturday, May 2nd outside Woody's Sports Bar in Sandys parish was recovering on a general ward at the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

The teenager’s injury is not considered to be life threatening.

Man Injured in Apparent Stabbing Outside Woody's Sports Bar

Around 6pm on Saturday, May 2nd first responders were dispatched to a reported disturbance at Woody's Sports Bar in Sandys parish.

It appears that an altercation took place outside the premises where one man was stabbed.

The victim, believed to be a 19 year old male, has been taken to hospital for treatment; however the extent of his injury is unknown at this time.

1 Year On, Appeal Continues for Missing Canadian Visitor William Grange

Detective Inspector Mark Clarke – Saturday, May 2nd 2015 marks one year since Canadian visitor Mr. William ‘Bill’ Grange went missing from the Cambridge Beaches Resort in Sandys parish.

As you will recall Mr. Grange, a 67 year old white male from Ontario, was reported missing around 10pm Friday, May 2nd 2014.

Reported Stolen Vehicle [Located]

Around 7:40am on Thursday, April 30th police received a report of a stolen vehicle.

It appears that a white Honda CRV bearing license plate number 31893 was removed from outside a Tanglewood Road, Paget residence sometime between 7pm Wednesday, April 29th and 7:30am Thursday, April 30th.

Harbour Road Collision Victim’s Condition Improves

At last check around 6:15am Wednesday, April 29th the 62 year old Warwick man injured when the motorcycle he was riding apparently collided with a wall on Harbour Road in Paget near the junction with Chapel Road around 1am Sunday, April 26th continues his recovery and was in stable condition on a general ward at the hospital.

Injured Motorcyclist Remains in ICU, Now in Stable Condition

At last check around 6:55am Monday, April 27th the 62 year old Warwick man injured when the motorcycle he was riding apparently collided with a wall on Harbour Road in Paget near the junction with Chapel Road around 1am Sunday, April 26th was in stable condition at the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

Inquiries continue and witnesses, particularly anyone who may have been in the Harbour Road, Paget area between Chapel Road and Manse Road around 1am Sunday, should contact the investigating officer Constable Oba Swan on the main police telephone number 295-0011.
