Marine Search for Motorcyclist After Flatts Bridge Collision [Updated]

At 12:13am police and first responders received a report of a single vehicle road traffic collision that took place on North Shore Road in Smith's involving a 39 year old Pembroke man on a motorcycle.

Details are sketchy at this stage but it appears that the cycle struck the Flatts Bridge and the rider may have been catapulted into the water.

Presently, officers from Marine Section as well as private vessels have commenced a search in the area and the relevant officers from the BPS are processing the scene.

Firearm Warrant Executed in Sandys Parish

At 4:27pm police executed a firearms warrant at two residences just off of Main Road in Sandys.

As a result the area surrounding the two dwellings (Hook and Ladder Lane and Gilbert Lane) were cordoned off whilst the operation took place. The roads are now open and the scene is still being processed.

Arrests Made, Suspected Drugs & Drug Equipment Seized

At approximately 12.30pm on Wednesday, officers came upon a male outside of a residence on Happy Valley who was wanted in connection with an outstanding warrant.

Officers pursued the male who ran inside of a house on Happy Valley, and once inside police found the suspect in a room in the dwelling along with a quantity of drugs.

Two Morning Collisions

First responders attended a report of a road traffic collision that took place at 8:30am this morning (Tuesday) on North Shore Road in Hamilton Parish in the area of Radnor Road. It appears that two cars and a motorcyclist collided resulting in the rider of the cycle being conveyed to the hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.

Meantime, at 9:06am first responders attended a report of a single vehicle accident on South Road in Southampton in the area of Church Bay.

Death of Jessica Gibbons

The Bermuda Police Service can now formally confirm the death of 25 year old Jessica Gibbons of Watlington Road West, Devonshire, who was discovered in an unresponsive state at her residence on the afternoon of Sunday April 3rd.

Death was later medically certified, and an investigation into her death is now underway. A Family Liaison Officer has been appointed to the family and the Bermuda Police Service would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.

Death of 25 Year Old Woman [Updated]

At 1:07pm on Sunday, police responded to a report of an incident that took place on Watlington Road West.

Details are limited at this time but it appears that a 25 year old Devonshire woman was found in an unresponsive state inside of her dwelling. An on call doctor attended the scene and certified her time of death at 2:05pm.

No further information will be given until the next of kin has been notified.

Reported Missing Person: Rennika Denbrook [Located]

Police are asking the public’s assistance in locating 31 year old Rennika Denbrook who was last seen today (Friday, April 1st) wearing a grey sweater and boots. She isdescribed as 5’5” feet tall, light complexioned, medium build and was wearing a grey sweater and boots. Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Rennika is asked to contact police on 295-0011.

Fraud Advisory

The Bermuda Police Service would like to advise the public about a woman who goes around to homes and states that her motorbike has broken down, and she needs money to fix the bike.

If someone comes to your home with a similar method of operation and appears to be suspicious, please ask for a name, then get a full description and call the police on 295-0011.

Reported Armed Robbery Witness Appeal Continues

Detectives continue to appeal for witnesses to a reported armed robbery that occurred around 1:50pm Thursday March 24th at T&L Budget Warehouse on St John’s Road, just 100 meters before North Shore Road and Admiralty House in Pembroke.

The suspects escaped on a black motorcycle with an undisclosed amount of cash and were described as dark brown complexioned males – one wearing all black and the other a black top and grey pants.
