Murder of 26 Year old Patrick Dill

The Bermuda Police Service extends condolences to the family and friends of 26 year old Patrick Dill, who was shot in the Crossland Lane, Pembroke area around 10:45pm Saturday May 21st and later, succumbed to his injuries at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Dill was initially thought to be 27 years of age. His death marks the first gun murder of 2016. A Family Liaison Officer has been assigned to assist the Dill family at this difficult time.

17 Year Old Male Dies in Smith's Parish Collision

At approximately 10:52pm Saturday 21st May 2016, first responders attended a report of a serious road traffic collision located at the top of Collectors Hill, Smith's Parish involving three vehicles (2 motor bikes & 1 motor car).

As a result  a 17 year old Sandys male who was riding an auxiliary cycle was taken to the hospital where he later was pronounced dead. No further information will be given until the next of kin has been notified.

Man Shot in Crossland Lane, Pembroke Area

At 1045pm Saturday night (May 21st, 2016), police attended a report of a firearms incident that took place at Crossland Lane in Pembroke.

Early information indicates that a 27 year old Pembroke man was shot and subsequently transported by private vehicle to the hospital.

The scene has been cordoned off and a full investigation into the incident is now underway.

Appeal for Reported Missing Person Jevon Daniels

Sergeant Jason Smith of the Serious Crime Unit - "On Thursday the 19th May, 2016, the BPS received a missing person report that Jevon Daniels 35yrs of agehas not been seen since Monday 16th May, 2016. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance are sketchy at present, however, initial police investigations conducted so far indicate that there is a real concern that he could be in danger and there is cause for concern of his well-being. Several family members and associates of Jevon Daniels have been interviewed and they too are concerned about his well-being.

Reported Armed Robbery

At 5:15pm on Friday police attended a report of an armed robbery that took place at the entrance to the former Pink Beach Hotel in Smith's.

It appears that a construction site manager was turning into the property when two males on a motorcycle stopped him in his car and pointed what appeared to be a firearm and made demands of cash.

The victim stated that he had no cash resulting in one of the suspects snatching his chain. Both males then made good their escape on a motorcycle.

Two Vehicle Collision in Devonshire [Updated]

Police and first responders attended a report of a road traffic collision that took place at the junction of Cedar Avenue and Dundonald Street at 7:40 this morning (Thursday).

Details are sketchy at this point but it appears that two motorcycles collided resulting in the riders being taken to the hospital for what appears to be serious injuries.

We are reminding the public that the Bermuda Police Service in conjunction with the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce will be hosting an informational seminar for business owners and managers to discuss crime prevention opportunities after the recent armed robberies.

Reported Serious Motorcycle Collision in Devonshire

Around 11:55pm on Saturday, May 14th first responders were dispatched to a reported serious single vehicle collision on South Road in Devonshire near the junction with Belmer Drive.

Details are limited; however it appears that a 31 year old Paget man riding a motorcycle along South Road crashed into a wall.

The injured rider was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment and at last check was listed in critical condition at the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

BPS and Chamber of Commerce to Host Seminar for Small Businesses

The Bermuda Police Service in conjunction with the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce will be hosting an informational seminar for business owners and Managers to discuss crime prevention opportunities after the recent armed robberies.
The seminar will take place on Tuesday at the Police Recreation Club on Tuesday May 17th from 6-8pm.
