At 3:49pm on Monday March 7th police received a report of a large group of students fighting in the area of the round-a-bout of Palmetto Road and Dock Hill Devonshire. The fight involved combatants using helmets, sticks and rocks. Upon police arrival the students dispersed in the area and the identity of those involved are unknown at this point. Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with any information to contact police on 295-0011.
Bermuda Marine Police is seeking the public’s assistance in locating anyone who has purchased or knows of anyone may have purchased a Walker Bay Punt or similar punts on Emoo over the last several months. In addition, the engines are a 6hp Evinrude outboard and a 4hp Mercury outboard engine. The Marine Unit is currently investigating the sale of stolen property via eMoo.

Police continue to appeal for witnesses in the road traffic death of 21 year-old Ezariah Matthie, which took place on Monday 29th February around 2:38pm at the junction of Ord Road and Harvey Road, Paget. Police are particularly keen to speak with a man who was at the scene at the time of the accident, but left the area before his details could be recorded. Anyone who may have witnessed this fatal collision or may have information on the movements of Mr. Matthie before the collision should contact PC Evelyn on 247-1145.
The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 21 year-old Ezariah Matthie, who died after he was involved in a two-vehicle road traffic accident on Monday 29th February at 2:38pm. The accident took place at the junction of Ord Road and Harvey Road in Paget, where it appears that Mr. Matthie collided with a truck that was turning onto the junction. He was taken to the hospital for treatment but succumbed to his injuries later that same evening.
This afternoon [1-Mar-16] Commissioner of Police Michael DeSilva issued a press release regarding the East Broadway protesting that took place this morning. Mr. DeSilva also reminded protestors and organizers that their actions must be lawful and they must not intrude on the rights of others.
Commisioner of Police Michael DeSilva - Members of the public will be aware of protest activity that took place this morning. Around 6:30 am approximately 30 persons gathered near the junction of East Broadway and Lane Hill and commenced a protest. Police officers arrived shortly after and were immediately concerned that the protestors were standing across the road and had blocked both lanes entering the City of Hamilton.
Police can now confirm the death of a 21 year old Warwick man who died as a result of a road traffic collision that took place today (Monday, February 29th). No further information will be given until the next of kin has been notified.
At 2:38pm today [29-Feb] first responders attended a report of a road traffic collision that took place at the junction of Harvey & Ord Road in Paget. Upon police arrival it was ascertained that a 21 year old Warwick man was travelling west on Ord Road when he collided with a truck turning onto Harvey Road. As a result the 21 year old man was taken to KEMH, where his condition has been listed as serious.
Around 4:00am on Saturday 27th February, Police attended a report of a home invasion in the South Road Paget Area.
On police arrival, it was reported that two unknown males gained entry into the residence by smashing a glass door and confronted the male and female victims, before making demands for money.
The suspects were challenged by the male victim, causing them to flee the scene on foot.
The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 31 year old guest worker, Randy Santelices of Timber Lane, Pembroke who died after he was involved in a single vehicle road accident on Thursday February 25th at 1:22am. The accident took place at the junction of Front Street and Queen Streets where it appears that Randy lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into the Birdcage. Mr. Santelices was taken to the hospital for treatment but later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead the same day at 6:12pm.
