At 6:37pm on Thursday 28th November 2019, police received a report of a single vehicle road traffic collision on Dutton Avenue in Pembroke.
A sixteen year old male was reportedly riding his motorcycle along Dutton Avenue near the junction with North Street, when he came into contact with string from a kite.
The bike rider sustained serious lacerations to the neck from the kite string.
The Bermuda Police Service continues to advise residents to be wary of the mystery shopper scam, also known as the secret shopper scam.
Despite previous warnings, members of the public are still being deceived by the offer of easy money.
The scam entices local social media users by offering employment as a mystery / secret shopper that allegedly has the potential to earn thousands of dollars by completing simple tasks – such as purchasing certain items, then reporting back on their shopping experience.
The Bermuda Police Service would like to advise the public that the next series of road sobriety checkpoints (as specified in the Official Gazette Notice Wednesday, November 27th) will be conducted starting Friday, December 6th.
The checkpoints will be in effect in Hamilton parish, Smith’s parish, Devonshire, Pembroke, Paget, Warwick and Southampton on Friday, December 6th, Saturday, December 7th and Sunday, December 8th.
A 71 year old man arrested in connection with the theft of a smartphone from a motorcycle storage box – while the motorcycle was left parked and unattended on Front Street in the City of Hamilton, near Burnaby Street around 12:40am Wednesday, November 27th – has been released on police bail, pending further inquiries by the Criminal Investigation Department.

Police officers responded to the incident around 12:40am Wednesday, November 27th after the suspect was observed on CCTV tampering with and then removing an item from the motorcycle’s storage box.
A 29 year old female resident of the Gulfstream multi-unit rooming house arrested for stabbing a 34 year old male resident around 8:20pm Saturday, November 23rd has been released on police bail, pending further inquiries by the Criminal Investigation Department.
14 Year Old Destiny Winters Reported Missing Again [Located]
The Bermuda Police Service is making another public appeal for assistance in locating 14 year old Destiny Winters.
Around 8:20pm Saturday, November 23rd police and fellow first responders were dispatched to a reported stabbing at the Gulfstream multi-unit rooming house on Tommy Fox Road in St. George’s.
It appears that two individuals – believed to be a 34 year old St. George’s man and a 29 year old St. George’s woman – were involved in a verbal dispute which turned physical, with the woman apparently stabbing the man in his upper torso with a knife.
Paget Parish Constable Roseann ‘Buffy’ Mienzer will host a meet and greet community clinic on Tuesday November 26th 2019 at The Burrows Lightbourn parking lot on Harbour Road in Paget from 12 noon until 2pm.

A nineteen year old male was this morning taken to hospital following a serious road traffic collision involving the motorcycle he was riding and a water truck.
The collision occurred at around 8:18 AM, at the junction of St. Mark's Road and Verdmont Road in Smith’s Parish.
The injured man sustained a laceration and fractures to his face. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
At approximately 4:25 this morning, Wednesday November 20, 2019, police received a 911 call that a sixty-four year old male was stabbed during a break in at his Westering Lane Warwick residence.
Upon arrival police were informed the victim was asleep in his living room when he was awakened by a noise and found an unknown male in the room with him.
