Reported Missing Teen: 13 Year Old Niasia Pitcher [Located]

The Bermuda Police Service is seeking the public's assistance in locating 13 year-old Niasia Pitcher.
Miss Pitcher, is described as, 5ft 3in tall, of slim build, light complexion, with brown eyes and long brown hair, worn in a bun. When last seen she was wearing a blue jacket light blue jeans and white sneakers.
There are reports she was seen at around 11am yesterday, Wednesday 1st January, in the Kings Lane area off of Kyhber Heights Road in Warwick.
Anyone with information on missing 13 year-old Niasia Pitcher, is asked to call the main police number, 295-0011.
Update: Please be advised that Niasia Pitcher has been found.

At around 11:30 this morning, Wednesday 1st January, 2020, police received an emergency call that a man was seen lying on the sidewalk outside the Washington Mall on Reid Street in the City of Hamilton.
He was reportedly breathing but unresponsive. Upon arrival officers were informed the victim, a seventy year old male had already been conveyed to hospital by ambulance.
He is currently listed in critical condition in the hospital's Intensive Care Unit.
Appeal for Suspect's Return

Following a search of a property by the Bermuda Police Service (BPS), on Saturday 9th November 2019, in the Fairylands area, police are seeking the return to Bermuda of the owner, who is currently in the United States, for interview in regards to an ongoing criminal investigation.
Two warrants, one under the Firearms Act and another under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act, otherwise known as PACE, in relation to ongoing investigations which the BPS is conducting.
Commissioner's End of Year Message

As the year closes I reflect on 12 months of hard work and success achieved by the officers and staff of the Bermuda police service. I am also 
pleased that there are lesser times I am referred to as the ‘new commissioner’ not least as I have made Bermuda my home as much as my work place.
I am so proud of what the BPS have delivered, not least as much is unknown to the public. Indeed that should be the case as I am believer in preventing crime rather than sorting things when they have gone wrong. Prevention means fewer victims, greater public safety as well as increased community confidence and that is our primary business.
Top of that list is protecting life and this year has seen the absence of homicide, particularly involving firearms and a continuing fall in road related deaths, whilst the thoughts and prayers of the BPS remain with those families who have lost loved ones.
Hamilton Princess Provides Christmas Dinner to Police Officers Working Christmas Day

7th Road Fatality for 2019

The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of Mr. Leslie Center, who succumbed to injuries sustained in a single vehicle road traffic collision, which occurred on Watlingon Road in Devonshire, on Thursday December 12th, 2019.
Mr. Center was at the time riding his bike in a westerly direction when he came into contact with the sidewalk at the junction of Upland Street and Watlington Road and went down.
He was transported to King Edward Hospital for treatment, but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
Ronniko Burchall Murder Appeal

The 29th December will mark the one-year anniversary of the murder of Mr. Ronniko Burchall. Mr. Burchall was at the St. David’s Cricket Club on the 28th December 2018, and was shot whilst he was attempting to get on his motorbike in the parking lot.
Ronniko succumbed to his gunshot wounds at 4:12p.m. on Sunday the 30th December 2019 and a murder investigation commenced.
Within an hour of Ronniko’s death a man was taken into police custody and three other men were arrested in connection with his murder bringing the total number of men arrested to four.
Drug Seizure

In a joint Police and Customs initiative on Saturday 21st December 2019, detectives from the Specialist Investigations Drugs Unit & the Bermuda Customs Rummage Team arrested three persons at the private jet facility located at L. F. Wade International Airport.
Earlier that evening two local men entered the island on a private jet with multiple pieces of luggage that were believed to contain controlled drugs.
Those arrested remain in custody pending the outcome of investigations and consultation with the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Reported Aggravated Robbery of Hotel Employee at Coco Reef Resort

Around 9:50pm Tuesday, December 17th a reported aggravated robbery occurred at the Coco Reef Resort in Paget.
It appears that a 24 year old male front desk clerk was sitting in the back office when a male intruder entered the area and started to search desk drawers.
A struggle ensued and the intruder made good his escape with the 24 year old man’s smartphone and wallet.
Sudden Death of 75 Year Old Elliott Van Putten

The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 75 year old Mr. Elliott Van Putten and extends sincere condolences to his family and friends.
Mr. Van Putten was found in an unresponsive state by a member of the public around 8:10pm Monday, December 16th inside a public bathroom at the Hamilton Docks, located near the junction of Front Street and Court Street in the City of Hamilton.
