Around 2am Friday, January 10th a 911 call was received regarding a two vehicle collision on North Shore Road in Pembroke, near the junction with Black Watch Pass.
It appears that a car was being driven west along North Shore Road and a motorcyclist was traveling in the same direction behind the car when the driver, said to be a 30 year old Pembroke man, attempted to make a U-turn.
Acting Detective Inspector Jason Smith - The Bermuda Police Service (BPS) is currently investigating a series of firearms incidents that have caused concern
to investigators and the public ought to be concerned as well. Since September 14th 2019, the police have investigated three firearms incidents that occurred on Court Street, Pembroke, on September 14th 2019, October 22, 2019 and December 22, 2019.
In these firearms incidents, a firearm was either discharged or brandished threatening persons that were in the area.
At last check a 40 year old Four Star delivery man was under observation in the Intensive Care Unit after being assaulted and robbed around 8:40pm Wednesday, January 8th.
It now appears that the incident occurred at the junction of West Side Road and Church Valley Lane in Sandys parish as the delivery man attempted to locate the correct address for a food order.
Detectives are currently conducting inquiries regarding a reported armed robbery.
Early information suggests that the incident occurred around 8:40pm Wednesday. January 8th on Church Valley Lane in Sandys parish - where it is believed that two unknown men each brandishing a bladed article assaulted and robbed a 40 year old Sandys parish man, injuring him.
The Bermuda Police Service is once again seeking the assistance of the public in locating 14 year old Destiny Winters.
The teen left her designated Government Care Facility Tuesday night (January 7th) after being located in the Fentons Drive, Pembroke area earlier that afternoon and returned to the facility.
She is described as brown complexioned, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, of medium build with shoulder length curly hair.
When last seen, Destiny was wearing a black rain jacket, black tights and black Nike sneakers.
She is known to frequent locations in Pembroke including Fentons Drive, Parsons Road, St. Augustine Hill, Middletown, One Way Deepdale and The Glebe Road.
So far efforts by police officers to locate her have been unsuccessful.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of 14 year old Destiny Winters is asked to call police on 295-0011 or her designated Government Care Facility on 292-3699.
Update: The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating 14 year old Destiny Winters.
She was found safe and well this evening (Wednesday, January 8th) on Middle Road in Devonshire and returned to her designated Government Care Facility.
Around 1:40am Tuesday, January 7th police and fellow first responders were dispatched to a reported two vehicle collision on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish near the junction with Coney Island Road.
It appears that a car was being driven west along North Shore Road and a motorcyclist was traveling in the opposite direction when the collision occurred.
The Bermuda Police Service thanks members of the public who responded to our requests for information regarding the assault on New Year’s Day, of a seventy year-old male outside the Washington Mall on Reid Street in the City of Hamilton.
Thanks to your assistance, a forty year-old male suspect has been arrested, charged and brought before the courts.
Around 2:50am Sunday, January 5th police and fellow first responders were dispatched to a reported single vehicle motorcycle crash at the junction of North Shore Road and Black Watch Pass in Pembroke.
It appears that the rider, said to be a 37 year old Devonshire man, was traveling east along North Shore Road when he struck the round-a-bout at the junction – sustaining injuries to his chest, leg and hands.
Around 2:52pm this afternoon, [3-Jan] police were dispatched to a report of a two-vehicle collision on North Shore Road near Jennings Road Smith’s parish, involving a truck and a taxi.
There are no reported injuries, however as a result of this collision, the road has been completely blocked.
Traffic headed east is now being diverted over Store Hill with westbound traffic being diverted over Flatt’s Hill.
At 11:45 pm on Tuesday 31-Dec-2019, police officers were on duty when they spotted a motorcycle with two males driving west along Front Street.
Officers observed the rider and his pillion passenger were wearing gloves and masks pulled up on their faces.
Checks revealed the motorcycle was reported as having been taken without the owner’s consent.
