Around 2am Friday, January 10th a 911 call was received regarding a two vehicle collision on North Shore Road in Pembroke, near the junction with Black Watch Pass.
It appears that a car was being driven west along North Shore Road and a motorcyclist was traveling in the same direction behind the car when the driver, said to be a 30 year old Pembroke man, attempted to make a U-turn.
The car driver checked on the injured rider, said to be a 31 year old Pembroke man, before fleeing the scene – apparently on foot.
The 31 year old man was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment of a leg injury.
So far attempts to locate the car driver have been unsuccessful but inquiries continue.

Update: Wednesday, January 15th - A 30 year old Pembroke man said to be the driver of a car that struck and injured a 31 year old male motorcyclist around 2am Friday, January 10th on North Shore Road in Pembroke, near the junction with Black Watch Pass was arrested on Tuesday, January 14th in connection with the incident.
He has since been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

14 Year Old Destiny Winters Overdue to Return to Care Facility Again [Located]
The Bermuda Police Service is once again seeking the assistance of the public in locating 14 year old Destiny Winters.
The teen attended school Thursday morning (January 9th) but did not return to her designated Government Care Facility as scheduled later that day.
She is described as brown complexioned, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing around 130 pounds with her hair now dyed black and in a ponytail.
Destiny was last seen wearing her CedarBridge Academy uniform: light blue school shirt, grey skirt, grey socks, black shoes with a maroon sweater and is known to frequent locations in Pembroke including Fentons Drive, Parsons Road, St. Augustine Hill, Middletown, One Way Deepdale and The Glebe Road.
So far efforts by police officers to locate her have been unsuccessful.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of 14 year old Destiny Winters is asked to call police on 295-0011 or her designated Government Care Facility on 292-3699.

She was found safe and well this afternoon (Friday, January 10th) and returned to her designated Government Care Facility.
