14 year old Destiny Winters remains unaccounted for after she left her designated Government Care Facility without permission on the evening of
Friday, January 10th.
The latest reported sighting of Destiny indicates that she traveled into and out of St. George’s by bus on Sunday, January 19th and was apparently with an older male.
The Bermuda Police Service is also aware of information that suggests that there is potential imminent risk to the 14 year old CedarBridge Academy student based on the association with this male.
As a reminder, Destiny is described as brown complexioned, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing around 130 pounds with her hair now dyed black, short and curly.
She was last seen wearing a black rain jacket, shorts as well as black Nike sneakers.
The teen is known to frequent locations in Pembroke including Fentons Drive, Parsons Road, St. Augustine Hill, Middletown, One Way Deepdale and The Glebe Road.
So far efforts by police officers to locate her have been unsuccessful.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of 14 year old Destiny Winters is asked to immediately call police on 295-0011 or her designated Government Care Facility on 292-3699.
The public is reminded that harbouring a juvenile is an offence punishable under the law.
Update: Wednesday, January 22nd - 14 year old Destiny Winters has been located and returned to the care of the Department of Child and Family Services.

Around 6:20pm Friday, January 17th police, Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service as well as ambulance personnel were dispatched to a reported two vehicle collision in Pembroke.
It appears that a motorcyclist, said to be a 54 year old Devonshire man, was traveling west along St. John’s Road and a 50cc scooter rider, said to be a 24 year old Pembroke man, was traveling in the opposite direction when the collision occurred near the junction with Cox’s Hill Road.
At approximately 5:00 p.m. on Friday January 17th 2020, investigators from the Serious Crime Unit and other Support Teams from the Bermuda Police Service executed a Firearms Warrant at a Pembroke residence.
This warrant was in relation to an ongoing active investigation involving the use of a firearm.

She is known to frequent locations in Pembroke including Fentons Drive, Parsons Road, St. Augustine Hill, Middletown, One Way Deepdale and The Glebe Road.
However, a recent sighting of Destiny was reported in the Flatts Village area Tuesday, January 14th around 12 noon. Apparently she was with an unknown male at the time.
Police officers continue their efforts to locate her.

The 46 year old male security guard stabbed by another man around 8:15pm Wednesday, January 15th outside Carousel Liquors on Front Street in the City of Hamilton has been treated and discharged from hospital.
Efforts are ongoing to locate the suspect, described as approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall with a bald/shaved head, wearing a black helmet, black jacket, blue jeans, black socks and flip flops, riding a black motorcycle.
Around 8:15pm Wednesday, January 15th police and fellow first responders were dispatched to a reported assault outside Carousel Liquors on Front Street in the City of Hamilton.
It appears that a 46 year old St. George’s man working as a security guard was involved in an altercation with another man that approached him, after that individual arrived on a black motorcycle.
The Bermuda Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in locating 17 year-old Ja’da Thomas.
Ms. Thomas is described as being five foot, two inches tall, with bright eyes and short black hair worn in a ponytail puff.
She is also said to be of medium build, weighing about 150lbs.
Ms. Thomas was last seen at home by her brother as she was preparing to leave for school at the CedarBridge Academy at around 8:00am yesterday, Tuesday 14th January.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of 17 year-old Ja’da Thomas is asked to contact the main police line on 295-0011.
Update: Thursday, January 16th - The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating Ja’da Thomas.
She has now been located and returned.
At 4:00pm on Tuesday 14th January, officers on the current Recruit Foundation Course performing their street duties training with a Tutor Constable, were dispatched to a residence in Devonshire to perform a welfare check on a male.
Police ComOps had received an overseas phone call from the UK from a worried friend who had not heard from him in two days.

A 30 year old Pembroke man said to be the driver of a car that struck and injured a 31 year old male motorcyclist around 2am Friday, January 10th on North Shore Road in Pembroke, near the junction with Black Watch Pass was arrested on Tuesday, January 14th in connection with the incident.
He has since been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
