Police responded to an incident that took place sometime between 10pm and 11pm on Tuesday July 21st. It is believed that and altercation took place on Woodlawn Road, resulting in a 23 year old Sandys Parish man receiving a stab wound to the body. The man was taken to KEMH where he later died from his injuries.
Police can now confirm the death of 65 year old Frederick Calder who’s lifeless was found at a residence on Middle Town Lane in Pembroke at 11:15am on Monday. A Family Liaison Officer has been assigned to the family and it now can be confirmed Mr. Calder’s death was as a result of natural causes. The Bermuda Police Service extends our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
Around 11:15am today, police responded to a report of a body being found at a residence on Middle Town Lane in Pembroke. Upon police arrival they came upon the lifeless body of a 65 year old Pembroke man.
At last check 7:15am Sunday, July 19th the 40 year old Hamilton parish man shot and injured at Bailey’s Bay Cricket Club a few minutes after 12am Thursday, July 2nd was in guarded condition at the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

A 33 year old Warwick man has been arrested in connection with the armed robbery that took place at 7:18am on Monday at The Esso Gas Station on Middle Road in Warwick. Police would like to thank the public for their assistance thus far and we are still appealing for witnesses to come forward to assist with any information no matter how insignificant it may seem to you. Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Unit are continuing their investigation into the armed robbery of a man at about 7:18am Monday 13th July, 2015. The complainant had left the Warwick Esso gas station to make a deposit at a local bank, when he was assaulted by two men (pictured) on a red Yamaha Nouvo motorcycle, brandishing a firearm and a machete.
The suspects are extremely distinctive in their attire, and would have been seen by motorists passing on Middle Road at the time – or by persons working in businesses between the Warwick Esso/Bowling Alley towards Khyber Pass.
The Bermuda Police Service (BPS) and The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award (DofE) have signed a Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) to offer the Award programme as a personal and professional development resource for the Bermuda Police Cadet Programme, which serves young people between the ages of 16 - 21. The BPS programme supports the academic attainment of each police cadet and grooms them for a successful policing career in service to the community.
Detectives are investigating a report of robbery that occurred at about 7:25am on Middle Road in Warwick near the junction with Khyber Pass. At the time, the male complainant was riding his motorcycle east along the said road when two males on another motorcycle rode alongside and brandished what appeared to be a firearm and a machete. The suspects were riding a red Honda Airblade style bike. The complainant’s motorcycle was taken from him along with a large quantity of cash from a local business.
At last check 7am Monday, July 13th the 42 year old male driver injured in a reported serious single car collision that occurred around 1pm Sunday, July 12th along Middle Road, Southampton in the vicinity of Jews Bay was in guarded condition at the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.
The two passengers involved, now confirmed to be his 34 year old wife and 6 year old son, were apparently treated for non-life threatening injuries and later discharged.
