The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 21 year-old Ezariah Matthie, who died after he was involved in a two-vehicle road traffic accident on Monday 29^th February at 2:38pm. The accident took place at the junction of Ord Road and Harvey Road in Paget, where it appears that Mr. Matthie collided with a truck that was turning onto the junction. He was taken to the hospital for treatment but succumbed to his injuries later that same evening. A full investigation is underway and a Family Liaison Officer has been assigned to the family to assist with this difficult process. The Bermuda Police Service extends our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Ezariah Matthie. This marks the 2nd road traffic fatality for 2016 and anyone with any information regarding this accident or any information on the movements of Ezariah Matthie before his untimely death should contact the Roads Policing Unit on 247-1788.
