Police and first responders attended a report of a road traffic collision that took place at the junction of Cedar Avenue and Dundonald Street at 7:40 this morning (Thursday).

Details are sketchy at this point but it appears that two motorcycles collided resulting in the riders being taken to the hospital for what appears to be serious injuries.

The scene had been cordoned off and and the relevant officers are processing the scene.

Update: The condition of the two men in the collision this morning on Cedar Avenue and Dundonald Street has been formally downgraded.

One of the men received treatment for cuts and abrasions and was released from the hospital.

The other remains in the hospital where he is being treated for a concussion. His injuries however at this time do not appear to be life threatening.
