Two Men in Critical Condition After Southampton Rangers Disturbance

Around 11pm on Sunday, October 16th police officers responded to a disturbance and unconfirmed firearm incident outside the Southampton Rangers Cricket Club.

Details remain unclear at this time. Initial reports suggested that shots were fired; however currently there is no forensic evidence to substantiate those reports.

As police personnel secured the scene, a 29 year old Southampton man was arrested for affray and remains in police custody at this time.

Reported Missing Person: Jahroy Simons [Located]

The Bermuda Police Service is appealing for the public’s assistance in locating 30 year old Jahroy Simons.

Mr. Simons is described as dark brown complexioned, 5 feet 10 inches tall weighing approximately 150 pounds and is said to have a short haircut with designs.

He was apparently last seen 7:30pm Friday, October 7th in the Brunswick Street/Elliot Street Pembroke area wearing white shorts and a white T-shirt with a green and black dollar sign.

In addition, Mr. Simons is known to frequent the Charing Cross area of Sandys parish as well as the Curving Avenue area of Pembroke.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of 30 year old Jahroy Simons is encouraged to contact the main police telephone number 295-0011 at the earliest opportunity.

Update: The Bermuda Police Service can confirm that 30 year old Jahroy Simons has since been located and appreciate the public’s assistance in this matter.

Investigation Ongoing: One Man Injured in Court Street Shooting

The investigation into a reported shooting that occurred around 9:30pm Thursday, October 13th on Court Street in Pembroke continues.

The 24 year old male injured in the incident apparently sustained a gunshot wound to his arm, which was not considered to be life threatening.

Detectives are particularly interested in speaking with anyone that has relevant information regarding this incident.

Police responded to a report of a firearms incident that took place at 9:28pm on Thursday night. It appears that a lone gunman opened fire on a group of persons assembled outside of Spinning Wheel Entertainment Complex on Court Street. This resulted in a male being taken to the hospital via private vehicle with an apparent gun shot wound to the arm.

Edmund John Flood Murder Investigation

Following the results of a post mortem examination conducted, The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm that the death of Edmund John Flood is now being treated as a murder investigation. Mr. Flood’s lifeless body was discovered on Sunday 2nd October, 2016 at his residence.

The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating Mr. Flood’s vehicle and we are continuing our appeal for information on Mr. Flood’s movements from Monday 26th September until Sunday 2nd October, 2016.

Three Arrested After Suspected Controlled Drug Seized in Sandys

Earlier this week police officers executed a search warrant at a Sandys parish residence, where a quantity of suspected controlled drug was seized. Three people have been arrested in connection with this matter and inquiries continue.

Motorcyclist Treated & Discharged After Pembroke Collision

Around 7:40am on Thursday, October 6th police and first responders were dispatched to a reported two vehicle collision in the Serpentine Road/Par-La-Ville Road Pembroke area.

Edmund John Flood Suspicious Death Investigation

Acting Inspector Jason Smith - The Bermuda Police Service can confirm the death of Edmund John Flood aged 55 as the man whose body was found in a residence on Tribe Rd 5, Paget on the 2nd October, 2016.

Approximately 2:25p.m. Sunday, 02-Oct-2016, Police Officers were dispatched to a private residence located on Tribe Road, No.5, Paget. There the officers met with a member of the public who stated that he has concerns for the well-being of the now deceased Edmund John Flood.  The attending police officers entered the residence of Mr. Flood and discovered his lifeless body inside of the apartment.

Injured Pedestrian Treated & Discharged From Hospital

The 50 year old Warwick woman injured as a pedestrian on Reid Street in a reported collision involving a car near the junction with Parliament Street in the City of Hamilton around 4:40pm Friday, September 30th has subsequently been discharged from the hospital after receiving treatment for her injuries.

Reported Suspicious Sudden Death [Updated]

Around 2:25pm on Sunday, October 2nd police officers responded to a reported sudden death at a Tribe Road No. 5 Paget residence where a male was found in an unresponsive state.

Initial information suggests that this is a suspicious death.

No further information regarding the deceased will be released at this time until the next of kin has been notified.

Reported Missing Person: Elena Ivanova [Located]

The Bermuda Police Service is appealing for the public’s assistance in locating 53 year old Elena Ivanova.

Ms. Ivanova, a Russian national guest worker is described as Caucasian, 5 feet 10 inches tall of medium build with blonde hair.

She was apparently last seen around 7pm Saturday, October 1st at a residence on Camden North Road in Paget wearing a grey T-shirt and a denim skirt.

Initial information suggests that Ms. Ivanova has only arrived in Bermuda recently and there is concern for her wellbeing.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of 53 year old Elena Ivanova should contact the main police telephone number 295-0011 at the earliest opportunity.
