Reported Assault in Sandys Parish [Updated]

Around 11:25am on Sunday, November 13th police and first responders were dispatched to a reported assault in the Long Bay Lane / Daniel’s Head Sandys parish area.
Details are limited at this time.
However, it appears that a 71 year old Sandys parish man sustained lacerations to his face and head after being assaulted by an unknown man with a crash helmet.

The Bermuda Police Service is appealing for the public’s assistance in locating 46 year old Kelli Sue Miller.
Ms. Miller is described as Caucasian, 5 feet 2 inches tall weighing approximately 130 pounds, with long straight dark brown hair and brown eyes.
She was apparently last seen around 1:15pm Saturday, November 12th in the Cockburn Road, Sandys parish area wearing a long grey maxi dress with a fleece jacket and black Nike flip flops.
There is concern for the wellbeing of Ms. Miller, who is known to frequent St. George’s and usually travels on foot.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of 46 year old Kelli Sue Miller should contact the main police telephone number 295-0011 at the earliest opportunity.
Reported Serious Two Vehicle Collision in Southampton [Updated]

Around 5:35pm Thursday, November 10th police and first responders were dispatched to a reported serious collision on Middle Road in Southampton near the junction with Scenic Heights Pass involving a bus and a van.
It appears that the bus and van were each being driven in opposite directions when the collision occurred.
The van driver, a 38 year old Paget man, was initially trapped in the vehicle before being extricated by Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service EMTs.

“Matters concerning the public notification of registered sex offenders are the remit of the Minister of Justice who is empowered under the Criminal Code Act 1907 to make disclosures under specific circumstances. The BPS can confirm that it works closely with the Attorney General, the Department of Corrections and others to monitor offenders – ensuring their compliance with the requirements to be registered and more generally to ensure that the list of sex offenders is properly maintained.”
Confirmed Firearm Incident in Sandys Parish

Around 1:45am on Thursday, November 10th police officers responded to a report of gunshots in the Scott’s Hill Road, Sandys parish area.
A scene was later located along Sound View Road, between Gwelly Lane and Salt Sea Lane, where it was forensically confirmed that a firearm had been discharged.
There were no reported injuries.
Remembrance Day Parade Traffic Advisory

The motoring public is reminded that certain sections of road will be closed and parking restricted in the City of Hamilton for the Remembrance Day parade Friday, November 11th.
From 10am until 12:30pm Friday the following areas will be closed to vehicular traffic:

The antisocial element of those groups, unfortunately, adversely impacts the community and area businesses. Inquiries Continue Regarding Reported Suspicious Incidents

Around 5:15pm on Tuesday, November 8th police officers responded to a reported aggravated burglary at an Orchard Grove, Pembroke residence.
It appears that two unknown men on a motorcycle arrived at the residence, one brandishing what appeared to be a firearm, demanding money.
However, they left empty handed a short time later on the motorcycle they arrived on.
Condition Updates on Recent Crash Victims

At last check this morning (Wednesday, November 9th) the 25 year old St. George’s man seriously injured in a reported three vehicle collision around 6:10pm Tuesday on St. David’s Road in St. George’s was in the Intensive Care Unit in stable condition.
The 49 year old male guest worker injured in a single vehicle auxiliary cycle crash around 12:15am Sunday, November 6th on Mullet Bay Road in St. George’s had been transferred from ICU to a general ward in stable condition.
Reported Three Vehicle Collision on St. David’s Road [Updated]

Around 6:10pm on Tuesday, November 8th police officers were dispatched to a reported three vehicle collision on St. David’s Road in St. George’s.
Details remain unclear at this time. However, apparently a motorcyclist struck a car and an ambulance in the vicinity of Southside Police Station.
