Police are asking the public to be on the look out for a Caucasian male sporting a full gray beard and little to no teeth. The suspect usually has a cycle close by and tries to flag down individuals asking for money to purchase gas or fix something on his bike that has malfunctioned.

The Bermuda Police Service is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 17 year old Seanae Smith of Sandy’s parish. The teenager is described as 5’2” tall, weighing approximately 150 pounds with black hair which has a bright gold streak down the centre of it. She was last seen approximately a week ago and may be in the Dockyard area.

At 9:26pm on Monday night Police responded to a report of gun shots being fired in the area of Princess Street in Pembroke. Details at this point are sketchy, however a man was taken to KEMH and is being treated for non life threatening injures. Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with any information to contact Police on 299-4315 or the confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 1-800-623-8477.

On Monday 25th August 2008 the former Club Med hotel will be destroyed by implosion.
On Monday 18th August 2008, work will commence to rig the former Club Med hotel building with explosives. These explosives will be placed throughout the hotel building and sealed in place by a team from Demolition Dynamics, a subsidiary of DH Griffin Wrecking Co. Inc of the USA.
The explosives, once placed, will remain in the hotel throughout the week leading up to the planned implosion, scheduled for Monday 25th August 2008.
On Monday 25th August 2008 the former Club Med hotel will be destroyed by implosion.
