Man Shot in Rambling Lane, Pembroke Area [Updated]

Around 10:30‎pm on Thursday, March 9th police responded to a report of a shooting in the Rambling Lane, Pembroke area.

Initial information suggests that ‎a 19 year old Pembroke man was shot and taken to hospital by private vehicle for treatment.

He was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit and at this time his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Motorcyclist Recovering After Crash in Smith’s Parish

At last check 7am today (March 8th) the 49 year old man injured in a reported serious single vehicle motorcycle collision in the Middle Road, Store Hill Smith’s parish area around 10:20pm Tuesday was recovering in stable condition on a general ward at the hospital.

It now appears that he was riding along Store Hill when the crash occurred, near the junction with Middle Road.

Reported Serious Motorcycle Crash in Smith’s Parish [Updated]

Around 10:20pm on Tuesday, March 7th police and first responders were dispatched to a reported serious single vehicle motorcycle collision in the Middle Road, Store Hill Smith’s parish area.

Details are limited at this time. However the rider, believed to be a 49 year old Warwick man, was injured and taken to hospital via ambulance for treatment.

Traffic Diversions Due to Bus on Fire [Updated]

Traffic diversions are currently in effect on Middle Road, Warwick near junction with St. Mary's Road due to a bus on fire. Apparently there are no reported injuries. Police and Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service are on scene.

Update: The section of Middle Road, Warwick near St. Mary’s Road has since been re-opened to normal traffic flow after the fire damaged bus was removed from the scene.

Murder of Raymond Butterfield

Detective Chief Inspector Na’imah Astwood – Over the past weekend the Bermuda Police Service responded to two separate and unconnected reports of stabbings.

The first incident occurred around 3:00am on Sunday, March 5th, 2017.

Police initially responded to a report of a disturbance on Front Street in the City of Hamilton, in the vicinity of Bermuda Bistro at the Beach.

Reported Disturbance at Somerset Cricket Club

Around 9:50pm on Saturday, March 4th police responded to a reported disturbance at Somerset Cricket Club.

It appears that an incident took place between players of Somerset Trojans and Robin Hood near the end of their football match.

However, apparently there were no reported injuries.

Fatal Stabbing & Injury Stabbing Not Believed to be Linked

Around 11pm Sunday, March 5th police and first responders were dispatched to a reported disturbance along Crow Lane in Pembroke, in the vicinity of Blue Waters Anglers Club.

It appears that two men were involved in an altercation.

One of the men involved, a 28 year old Devonshire man, was injured and rushed via ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Second Road Fatality of 2017: Rochelle Butterfield

The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 47 year old Rochelle Butterfield and extends condolences to her family and friends.

It has since been confirmed that Mrs. Butterfield was the pillion passenger on a motorcycle ridden by her 51 year old husband in a westerly direction (not east as initially reported) when they went off the road along Kindley Field Road, St. George's in the vicinity of Stone Crusher Corner around 1:30am Wednesday, March 1st.

4 Year Old Boy Injured in Collision With Truck Recovering

At last check earlier this afternoon (Wednesday, March 1st) the 4 year old boy injured by a truck around 5:15pm Monday, February 27th while riding his bicycle in the Seawall Drive, Sandys parish area had been transferred from the Intensive Care Unit to a general ward at the hospital in stable condition.
