Around 5:15pm Sunday, October 6th police received a report of a stabbing.
Details remain limited at this time.
However, early information indicates that an altercation took place between several men in the Cricket Lane, Sandys parish area – in the vicinity of Somerset Cricket Club.
Detectives continue to investigate a confirmed firearm incident that occurred around 10:25pm Thursday, October 3rd in the Cashew City Road, St. George’s area where a 64 year old man was shot in the shoulder.
At last check this morning (October 4th) he was listed in stable condition in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.
Witnesses or members of the public with relevant information – particularly area residents who may have seen several motorcycles in the vicinity before or after the incident – are urged to call Detective Inspector Kenten Trott on 717-2345 as soon as possible.
Around 10:25pm Thursday, October 3rd police received a report of an injured man in the Cashew City Road, St. George’s area.
Details are limited at this time.
However, it appears that the 64 year old man involved sustained a gunshot wound to his shoulder.
A 29 year old male Westgate Correctional Facility inmate that escaped Monday afternoon and was apprehended in the South Road, Horseshoe Road, Southampton area a short time later has been transferred from police custody back to the Westgate Correctional Facility.
Inquiries regarding the circumstances of his escape continue and a court appearance is anticipated at a later date.
Commissioner of Police Stephen Corbishley can confirm that Bermuda Police Service and Department of Corrections personnel conducted a joint search for an unaccounted for inmate from the Westgate Correctional Facility earlier this afternoon (September 30th).
The 29 year old male inmate has since been located in Southampton and is currently in police custody.
Around 7:30am Monday, September 30th a reported two motorcycle collision occurred on Harbour View Drive in Southampton, on the Fairmont Southampton resort property.
It appears that the two riders involved – said to be a 44 year old Warwick man and a 22 year old Sandys parish man – were traveling in opposite directions at the time.
At a 4:30pm ceremony held at Police Headquarters in Prospect Devonshire on Friday, September 27th Detective Chief Inspector Nicholas Pedro was promoted to the rank of Detective Superintendent by Commissioner of Police Stephen Corbishley.
Acting Deputy Commissioner Darrin Simons, Assistant Commissioner Antoine Daniels, Assistant Commissioner Martin Weekes, family, friends and colleagues were also in attendance at the Police Recreation Club hall to congratulate Mr. Pedro on his achievement.
Detective Superintendent Pedro joined the Bermuda Police Service in 1993, having completed University with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science.
Around 12:05am Friday, September 27th police and Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service personnel responded to a reported van fire on Fentons Drive in Pembroke near the junction with Parsons Road.
The white Nissan van involved was left parked and unattended.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze and the scene was processed.
Acting Detective Superintendent Nicholas Pedro (Crime Division) – The Bermuda Police Service can confirm that following an international appeal for assistance, Mr. Yuval Abraham was arrested in Athens, Greece.
He is being held in custody pending a hearing on extradition to Bermuda.

Around 9:15pm Tuesday, September 24th police, Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service and ambulance personnel responded to a reported serious two vehicle collision on St. Mary’s Road in Warwick near the junction with Hillview Road involving a car and a motorcyclist.
It appears that the vehicles involved were traveling in opposite directions at the time.
