26 Year Old Male Motorcyclist Stable in ICU After Collision With Car

Around 9:15pm Tuesday, September 24th police, Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service and ambulance personnel responded to a reported serious two vehicle collision on St. Mary’s Road in Warwick near the junction with Hillview Road involving a car and a motorcyclist.

It appears that the vehicles involved were traveling in opposite directions at the time.

The injured rider, said to be a 26 year old Sandys parish man, was rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment of head and facial wounds.

At last check this morning (September 25th) he was listed in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit.

The car driver, said to be a 28 year old Southampton man, was not hurt.

However, both vehicles were damaged. Traffic diversions were in effect for approximately three hours while the scene was processed.

Forensic Opportunities Being Explored to Identify Graffiti Offender

Inquiries continue regarding the latest offensive graffiti painted at various locations in Pembroke.

In addition to Parsons Road, Happy Valley Road and Angle Street/North Street, offensive graffiti was also observed on Laffan Street and Canal Road.

Forensic opportunities are being explored in an effort to identify the individual responsible.

Witnesses or members of the public with information that can assist in bringing the individual responsible to justice are now encouraged to call Detective Constable Jerry Waterman at the Criminal Investigation Department on 247-1744 as soon as possible.
