The Bermuda Police Service can confirm that two Bermudian males that have been living in the UK for a significant period of time were arrested on terrorism related charges after UK authorities were alerted to a Bury, Greater Manchester residence.
The two men, said to be 24 years old and 23 years old by UK media, were remanded into custody and are scheduled to appear in a UK court for a preliminary hearing on June 29th.
Police and first responders attended a report of a road traffic collision that took place on Mullet Bay Road in the area of Rocky Hill Park in St. George's at 6:40pm (Friday).
Details are still emerging but it appears that a collision occurred between a driver of a car and a man on a motorcycle.
The rider of the motorcycle was taken to the hospital via ambulance and his condition is listed as serious.
The Bermuda Police Service is aware of an incident that took place recently at the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club and images that are circulating via social media. It appears that a male came onto the property of the hotel and began behaving in a threatening manner toward guests of the hotel.
An investigation into this incident is now underway and officers are also liaising with the relevant hotel personnel to minimize the likelihood of a recurrence.
Around 5:34pm today (Sunday) police responded to a report of an incident in the area of Lindo’s in Warwick. It appears that the rider of a motorcycle rode down a flight of stairs adjacent to the building and lost control of the cycle which resulted in the male rider crashing his cycle.
The rider received head and neck injuries and was conveyed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment. Inquiries into this incident are now underway.
The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 39 year old American Jacolbe Fleming and extends sincere condolences to his family and friends. Mr. Fleming, from Jonesboro Georgia, apparently was swimming at Horseshoe Bay Beach in Southampton at 2:26pm on Thursday June 7th when it appears that he ran into difficultly in the water resulting in lifeguards performing CPR. He was subsequently taken to the hospital via ambulance where he was pronounced dead at 3pm.

Upon police arrival it was ascertained that a male ran into breathing difficulty at the beach, resulting in lifeguards performing CPR. The victim was subsequently taken to the hospital via ambulance where at this time his condition is considered critical.
Around 10am Wednesday, June 6th police and fellow first responders were dispatched to a reported two vehicle collision at the junction of Middle Road and Corkscrew Hill in Devonshire.
It appears that a motorcyclist and a car driver were traveling in opposite directions on Middle Road when the collision occurred, as the driver of the car attempted to turn on to Corkscrew Hill.
The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 62 year old American cruise ship visitor Yvonne Aites and extends sincere condolences to her family and friends.
Ms. Aites, from Massachusetts, apparently fell off of a Jet Ski into the water near Cambridge Beaches, Sandys parish Monday morning (June 4th) during a Jet Ski tour and became unconscious.
Despite lifesaving efforts on the water which continued as she was rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance, Ms. Aites was later pronounced dead.
At last check this morning (June 5th) the 23 year old male motorcyclist injured around 10:15pm Sunday, June 3rd in a reported single vehicle crash on Turkey Hill in St. George’s remained in stable condition in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.
Inquiries continue and any witnesses are still asked to call the main police telephone number 295-0011.
At about 11:05am today (Monday) police and other first responders attended a report of an unresponsive female who fell off of a Jet Ski whilst on a Jet Ski tour in the area of Cambridge Beaches in Sandys.
Details are still emerging but it appears that a 62 year old female cruise ship visitor apparently fell from her Jet Ski and into the water, losing consciousness.
