Good Morning. We do not normally comment on the security arrangements for the Premier of Bermuda, however, it is my regrettable task this morning to do so. In this season of rumours and speculation it is important for the public to be aware of a security matter concerning the Premier. Yesterday postal workers intercepted a package addressed to the Premier which caused some suspicion. Upon further examination it was confirmed that the package contained a threat leveled at the Premier. The Police have sufficient grounds to take the threat seriously and that a criminal offence has been committed. A Police investigation has been launched.
