Woman Assaulted By Two Women With a Baseball Bat [Updated]

Around 2:45 this morning [08-Jan-2016] police responded to a report of an assault which occurred in the Curving Avenue Pembroke area.

It was reported that two female suspects attended the victim’s residence and assaulted her with a baseball bat.

The victim, an 18 year old Pembroke woman was transported to KEMH where she is currently being treated for head injuries which are not believed to be life threatening. Two women have been arrested in connection with this incident and court appearances are  expected in the near future. Update: At last check the 18 year old woman injured around 2:45am Friday, January 8th in the Curving Avenue Pembroke area after two female suspects apparently attended the victim’s residence and assaulted her with a baseball bat, was recovering in stable condition on a general ward at the hospital.

Police Seize Significant Amount of Stolen Cycle Parts

Approximately 11:30am on Thursday 7th January, police officers from the Roads Policing Unit acting on information attended a residence on Cheriton Lane, Pembroke.

As a result of this information, police were able to recover a significant amount of stolen and suspected stolen motorcycle parts. This included several stripped motorcycle frames, engines and a complete motorcycle.

A 20 year-old Pembroke male has been arrested in connection with this incident and is currently assisting police with inquires.

It should be noted that the successful recovery of property and the arrest of a suspect, is directly attributed to members of the public contacting police after observing multiple bikes unnecessarily parked and strewed around this particular residential property.

The Bermuda Police Service would like to encourage members of the public to continue providing information of this nature, as it is useful and usually results in cycle recoveries and arrests.
