First responders attended a report of a road traffic collision that took place at the junction of Somerset Road and Cambridge Road at 6:20pm on Tuesday.

It appears that a taxi was traveling west on Main Road and was turning onto Cambridge Road when the motorcycle that was traveling east collided with the taxi.

The motorcycle rider and the pillion passenger were both taken to the hospital however the rider of the motorcycle appears to be in serious condition.

The area has been cordoned off whilst the relevant police officers process the scene.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the collision to contact police on 295-0011.
