Around 12:55pm on Sunday, April 12th police officers responded to a report of two disruptive passengers on a diverted Thomson Airways flight landing at L.F. Wade International Airport.
The two male passengers involved were subsequently escorted off the plane and taken into police custody.
The Thomson aircraft was apparently en route from London, U.K. to Cancun, Mexico.
Update: At 2:30pm Monday, April 13th U.K. nationals 38 year old Jamie Richardson and 37 year old Daniel Taylor appeared in Magistrates’ Court to face charges relating to using threatening behaviour towards crew members of Thomson Airways flight #022 on Sunday, April 12th contrary to Article 181(b) of the Air Navigation (Overseas Territories) Order 2013.
Both men were fined $3,000 each in default of 4 months in prison.
Following their court appearance Mr. Richardson of Lancing and Mr. Taylor of West Sussex were making arrangements to comply with the ruling. However in the interim, they are being detained at Westgate Correctional Facility in Dockyard.
Collision Victims in ICU
At last check the 23 year old male livery cycle rider and 43 year old male motorcyclist from Devonshire injured in a collision that occurred around 5:13pm Saturday, April 11th along St. John’s Road Pembroke, in the vicinity of Cox’s Hill and Mount View Road, were both in the Intensive Care Unit at the hospital.
