Tokia Russell Named as 6th Road Traffic Fatality of 2016

The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 38-year-old Tokia Anthony Russell, who died as a result of injuries received in a collision that took place around 2:50am Wednesday 22nd June, along Middle Road, Paget between Berwyn Hill and Bostock Hill West. Mr. Russell was pronounced dead at the scene by an on call physician.
The Bermuda Police Service would like to express our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
The death of Tokia Russell marks the 6th road traffic fatality for 2016. Police are appealing to anyone who may have information on the movements of Mr. Russell prior to the collision or anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact Police Constable Dennis Joell of the Roads Policing Unit on 247-1788.
Update on 19-Year-Old Assault Victim
At last check, the 19 -year-old male who was assaulted in the Whaler Inn Beach area on Tuesday 21st June, was placed on a general ward for observation at King Edward Memorial Hospital, and his injuries are not considered to be life threatening.
Police continue to appeal for witnesses who may have information regarding this incident to call the Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.
