The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 50 year old Anthony Williams of Southampton and extends condolences to his family and friends.
Mr. Williams was seriously injured around 12:30am Sunday, September 4th when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a taxi being driven in the opposite direction on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish, near the junction with Harlem Heights Road.
He was later pronounced dead at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital. A Family Liaison Officer has been assigned to assist the Williams family at this difficult time.
The investigation into this fatal collision, the tenth for the year, continues. Any witnesses or persons that may be familiar with Mr. Williams’ movements in the hours prior to 12:30am Sunday should contact the Roads Policing Unit on 247-1788.
Motorcyclist Remains Critical in ICU After Pembroke Crash
At last check 7:10am today (Monday, September 5th) the 36 year old male motorcyclist injured in a reported single vehicle crash around 2:30am Saturday, September 3rd at the junction of Lane Hill and Cavendish Road in Pembroke remains in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit in critical condition.
The victim, a Barbadian national living in Bermuda, apparently sustained serious head injuries after the motorcycle he was riding struck the kerb.

Inquiries Continue: Car & Water Truck Collide in Paget
The 27 year old male driver of a car injured when a collision occurred with a water truck around 8:20pm Saturday, September 3rd at the junction of Middle Road and Chapel Road in Paget was apparently treated at the hospital for non-life threatening injuries to his face, hand and arm. However, details remain unclear regarding how the collision occurred.
