Stabbing Victim Recovering on General Ward, Suspect in Court

At last check today, Tuesday June 16th the 54 year old man stabbed around 7pm Saturday, June 13th on Church Street in the City of Hamilton in the area of City Hall remained in stable condition on a general ward at the hospital. The 30 year old suspect appeared in Magistrates’ Court this morning.

Marine Incident Involving Jet Ski, No Serious Injuries

Around 7:30pm on Monday, June 15th Marine Police responded to a marine incident in the waters off Admiralty House Park involving a Jet Ski. It appears that the male operator of the Jet Ski was performing high speed maneuvers when he and his two female passengers were thrown overboard. One of the female passengers, believed to be a 20 year old woman was injured, taken ashore for hospital treatment of a sore neck and back and later discharged. The male Jet Ski operator was issued a ticket for driving in a manner dangerous.

Appeal Continues for Reported Stolen Car: Blue Peugeot 207 HB

Police are still seeking the public’s assistance in locating a blue Peugeot 207 hatchback bearing license plate number 13354 that was removed from outside an Ocean Avenue, Devonshire residence sometime between 9:30pm Sunday, June 14th and 2:30am Monday, June 15th. Members of the public who may have seen this vehicle recently should contact the main police telephone number 295-0011 at the earliest opportunity.

Busy Heroes’ Day Holiday Weekend, Few Incidents of Note

The Bermuda Police Service can report a very busy weekend with significant calls for service; however there were very few incidents of note over the four day National Heroes’ Day holiday weekend. We would like to thank the public for their cooperation as well as the organizing committee of the Heroes’ Day weekend for a well-planned event and the constant flow of communication with police along with a comprehensive security strategy.

Hamilton Parish Community Clinic Tomorrow

Hamilton parish residents are encouraged to attend the Eastern Community Action Team (ECAT) monthly Hamilton parish community clinic, which will be held at Shelly Bay MarketPlace tomorrow, Wednesday June 17th, 2015. The first session is from 10am until 12 noon, with the second from 2pm until 4pm. Area residents are invited to attend one or both sessions. Participants will have the opportunity to meet their Community Action Team officer(s), discuss any community issues they may have and receive crime prevention advice.
