Around 11:00 pm on Sunday 3rd January 2016, police responded to a robbery at KFC restaurant on Queen Street in Hamilton.
An employee reported that a man wearing a dark coloured hoodie and a mask entered the restaurant from the back door and threatened the employee to lay on the floor.
The man searched the restaurant and made off with a quantity of cash. It is not clear whether the man was carrying a weapon, but no one was injured during the robbery.

Appeal for Witnesses to Come Forward: New Year’s Day Traffic Incident and Allegations of Assault
Comments posted on social media suggest that there were a number of witnesses in the St. John’s Road Pembroke area on the evening of 1st January 2016, where a police pursuit ended in the arrest of a 17 year old youth.
