Around 1:40am on Sunday, November 8th police officers on mobile patrol came across a two car collision at the junction of Cavendish Road and Lane Hill in Pembroke.

Apparently one car was being driven along Cavendish Road and the other car was being driven along Lane Hill when the vehicles collided at the junction.

It was initially reported that one of the cars was on fire; however Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service personnel were promptly on scene and extinguished the flames.

Both drivers, a 31 year old Smith’s parish man and a 52 year old St. George’s woman, sustained non-life threatening injuries.

Traffic flow was temporarily disrupted in the area but quickly returned to normal after the two damaged cars were towed from the scene.

Any witnesses to this collision should contact the Hamilton Police Station on 247-1704.
