Reported Serious Two Vehicle Collision in Devonshire

Around 4:30pm on Saturday, January 9th first responders were dispatched to a reported serious two vehicle collision on Tee Street in Devonshire near the junction with Berry Hill Road.

It appears that a car and a motorcycle being driven in opposite directions along Tee Street collided. The car then struck an embankment and overturned, ending up on its roof.

The motorcyclist, a 51 year old Devonshire man, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment.

At this time his injuries are not believed to be life threatening. There were no other injuries reported; however both vehicles were damaged.

18 Year Old Woman Assaulted With Baseball Bat Recovering

At last check the 18 year old woman injured around 2:45am Friday, January 8th in the Curving Avenue Pembroke area after two female suspects apparently attended the victim’s residence and assaulted her with a baseball bat, was recovering in stable condition on a general ward at the hospital.

Two women were arrested in connection with this incident and court appearances are anticipated in due course. The investigation continues and anyone who may have information should call 295-0011 or the confidential Crime Stoppers hotline 800-8477.

Rider Injured New Year’s Day Now Recovering on a General Ward

At last check Saturday morning (January 9th), the 28 year old man injured when the auxiliary cycle he was riding collided with a wall along Middle Road in Paget, near the junction with Frith Farm Road around 3am Friday, January 1st was recovering on a general ward at the hospital.
