Around 1:30am on Monday, June 8th first responders were dispatched to a reported collision on Somerset Road in Sandys parish, apparently near the junction with Scott’s Hill Road.
Details remain limited; however it appears that a car was being driven out of Somerset when the collision occurred.
The driver, believed to be a 30 year old Sandys parish man was injured, taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment and later discharged.
Apparently the car sustained extensive front end damage and was later towed from the scene.

81 Year Old Motorcyclist Remains in ICU
At last check 7:45am Monday, June 8th, the 81 year old male motorcyclist injured in a collision with a truck that occurred around 1:50pm Monday, June 1st at the junction of Cavendish Road and Lane Hill in Pembroke remained at the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit in critical condition.
