Around 9:45pm on Tuesday, September 27th police officers were dispatched to a reported armed robbery at Pasta Basta on Elliot Street West in Pembroke.
It appears that an unknown male brandishing what is believed to be a firearm entered the restaurant, removed a quantity of cash from the till and exited the premises.
The suspect, described as 6 feet tall of slim build wearing black clothing and a black helmet, apparently fled on a black motorcycle towards Laffan Street.
No employees of Pasta Basta were injured.
Inquiries continue and any witnesses that may have seen suspicious activity near Pasta Basta around 9:45pm Tuesday should contact the Criminal Investigation Department on 247-1744 or the confidential Crime Stoppers hotline 800-8477.
Update: Police can confirm that on Thursday 29th September, officers arrested a forty year old Pembroke resident on suspicion of armed robbery. He is currently assisting police with the following three investigations:
1. Armed robbery at Pasta Basta which took place around 9:45pm on Sunday 13th March 2016 where a black male entered the restaurant, brandishing what appeared to be a firearm and demanded money from staff. The suspect, described as being about 6 ft. tall, wearing a red mask, black pants and brown top; stole an unknown quantity of cash and left the scene on a white motorcycle in a northerly direction on Washington Street North.
2. Armed robbery at Wok Express, North Street., and Pembroke around 10:13pm on Sunday 25th September, 2016 where a male wearing a scarf, covering part of his face, brandished what appeared to be a firearm and stole an unknown quantity of cash. He made good his escape, east along Parsons Road on a motorcycle cycle.
3. Armed robbery at Pasta Basta, Elliott Street, City of Hamilton around 9.47pm on Tuesday 27th September 2016 where a black male entered the restaurant, brandishing what appeared to be a firearm and demanded money from staff. The suspect stole an unknown quantity of cash and left the scene on a motorcycle.
A file is being prepared for DPP charge approval and it is anticipated that the suspect will be appearing in Magistrates Court on Monday 3rd October, 2016.

Reported Stolen Car Located
The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating a white Kia Sportage bearing license plate 16306.
The vehicle was recovered by police on White Sands Road in Paget Tuesday evening after being reported stolen from outside a Hilltop Drive, Hamilton parish residence approximately 48 hours earlier.
