Reported Armed Robbery at Mr. Chicken Express in Devonshire

Around 10:20pm on Friday, July 24th police officers were dispatched to a reported armed robbery at Mr. Chicken Express in Devonshire.

It appears that two males, one apparently brandishing a bladed article, gained entry into the premises during closing time and demanded money.

An undisclosed amount of cash was taken; however no employees were injured.

The offenders were described as approximately 6 feet tall of slim build wearing black clothing and black helmets.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who may have seen two men acting suspiciously in the Watlington Road East, Upland Street Devonshire area around 10pm Friday to contact the Criminal Investigations Department on 295-0011.

Bailey’s Bay Cricket Club Shooting Victim Remains in ICU

At last check 6:45am Sunday, July 26th the 40 year old Hamilton parish man shot and injured at Bailey’s Bay Cricket Club a few minutes after 12am Thursday, July 2nd was in critical but stable condition at the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.
