Police are continuing the investigation into a report of sexual misconduct that took place at Cup Match and specifically looking for information as to the identity of the male person in the video. We have received no information and no one has come forward to assist us with this information. Family members have however come forward to identify the female, who is a minor. Enquiries continue with a view to identifying the male involved.
The Bermuda Police Service wish to reassure the public that we are taking this incident seriously and continue to interview witnesses and record statements.
We remind the public that it is a criminal offense to distribute, download, or be in possession of any child abusive images. This includes, but is not limited to, sexual images of anyone under the age of 16. Anyone coming into possession of video images or photographic images should report these images to police immediately. If you receive any such images via social media, internet or your mobile phone DO NOT pass on the image or video no matter how good your intentions are. Simply erase the image or report it. Anyone found in possession of an image by police is liable to arrest and prosecution.
We repeat our call for witnesses and in particular persons who can assist with identifying the male in the videos. We ask anyone with information to contact Insp. Mark Clarke at the Central Criminal Investigation Unit at 247 1086
