Man Treated at Hospital for Non-Life Threatening Gunshot Wound [Updated]

Around 1:20pm today, Monday August 29th, a 23 year old Pembroke man attended King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound to his hand.

His injury is not considered life threatening.

Details are limited at this time; however the incident apparently occurred in the Fentons Drive Pembroke area.

Update: Details emerging suggest the 23 year old Pembroke man suffered from an apparent  self-inflicted gunshot wound and was driven to the hospital in a private vehicle. Police recovered what appears to be a firearm and an investigation into the matter is now underway.
