Inquiries Continue Into Reported Bomb Threat at Whitney Institute

Around 10:20am today (Monday, June 1st) the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit completed their search of Whitney Institute Middle School without incident and deemed the school safe to resume normal operation, following a reported bomb threat earlier.

First responders initially attended a reported burglary of Whitney Institute at 8:04am today, where an apparent bomb threat was discovered.

As a result, protocols were put into place to ensure the teachers and students were in a safe area while the scene was examined.

Inquiries continue regarding this matter and anyone who may have relevant information should contact the main police telephone number at 295-0011.

Reported Missing Teenager Luke Smith Located

The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating 13 year old Luke Smith, who was reported missing around 12:15am Sunday, May 31st.

He returned safe and well later on Sunday.

Man Discharged After Treatment for Reported Medical Emergency

A 52 year old Warwick man found lying on the side of the road in an unresponsive state around 12:50pm Friday, May 29th on Bluff Lane in Pembroke, in the vicinity of Mount Hill, was treated for his condition and discharged from the hospital at 3:40pm Friday.
