The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 84 year old Maureen Peckett and extends condolences to her family and friends.
Mrs. Peckett was seriously injured in a reported two car collision on South Road in Devonshire near the junction with Melville Crescent around 9:45pm Thursday, October 20th and remained in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit until her passing 1:25pm Friday, November 11th.
A Family Liaison Officer will be assigned to assist the Peckett family at this difficult time.
The investigation into this fatal collision, the eleventh for the year, continues.

Sandys Parish Assault Victim Recovering
At last check this morning (Monday, November 14th) the 71 year old Sandys parish man injured in a reported assault around 11:25am Sunday, November 13th in the Long Bay Lane / Daniel’s Head Sandys parish area was recovering in stable condition on a general ward at the hospital.
Inquiries continue and any witnesses or persons with relevant information that have not yet come forward should contact the Criminal Investigation Department on 247-1744.
Collision Victims Recovering
At last check this morning (Monday, November 14th) the 38 year old Paget man injured when the van he was driving collided with a bus around 5:35pm Thursday, November 10th on Middle Road in Southampton near the junction with Scenic Heights Pass was recovering in stable condition on a general ward at the hospital.
Also, at last check the 25 year old St. George’s man seriously injured in a reported three vehicle collision around 6:10pm Tuesday, November 8th on St. David’s Road in St. George’s had been transferred from the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit to a general ward in stable condition.
