Continued Appeal for Witnesses to Come Forward: New Year’s Day Traffic Incident and Allegations of Assault
Police are still appealing for witnesses in the St. John’s Road Pembroke area on the evening of 1st January 2016, where a police pursuit ended in the arrest of a 17 year old youth. Police are especially interested in anyone who may have video/cellphone footage of the police pursuit and or the subsequent arrest. Man Robbed of IPod on Brunswick Street
Police responded to a report of an incident that took place yesterday around 1am. The complainant, a 49 year old man states that he was walking along Brunswick Street, when he was stopped by a male who engaged him in conversation, however he abruptly brandished a sharp object and made demands of money.
He then stole and iPod and a gift certificate from the complainant and then made good his escape. The suspect is described as a brown complexioned male, wearing dark grey clothing; he was believed to be around 5’5" tall, of thin build and in his early to mid-twenties. Police are asking for anyone that can assist with this investigation to contact police on 295-0011.
