Car Collides With Utility Pole in Hamilton Parish

Around 8pm on Monday, May 25th first responders attended a reported single vehicle collision on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish, near the junction with Green Bay Road.

It appears that a car was being driven along North Shore Road when it collided with a utility pole.

The driver, a 30 year old Hamilton parish woman and her female passenger were apparently treated at the scene by EMTs for minor injuries.

The damaged vehicle was later towed from the scene.

Taxi & Motorcycle Collision in Devonshire

Around 10:45am on Monday, May 25th first responders attended a reported two vehicle collision on South Road in Devonshire, near the junction with Brighton Hill Road.

The motorcycle rider, believed to be a 40 year old Sandys parish man and his pillion passenger, believed to be a 37 year old Sandys parish woman, sustained non-life threatening injuries.

There were no other injuries reported; however both vehicles were damaged. Inquiries regarding this collision continue and witnesses should contact the main police telephone number 295-0011.

Traffic Advisory: Beating of the Retreat Ceremony Wednesday

The motoring public is advised of the following temporary street closures in the City of Hamilton on Wednesday 27th May from 6pm until 10pm, to facilitate a ‘Beating of the Retreat’ ceremony.

Front Street – between Court Street and Queen Street.
Burnaby Street – between Front Street and Reid Street.
