The Bermuda Police Service would like to advise the public of a recent spate breaking and entry reports in Warwick and Southampton specifically in the areas of Middle Road, the Lighthouse Hill area, also houses on the surrounding the Railway trail. It should be noted that many of these events are taking place during the day and as such, police are advising the public to be on the look out for suspicious individuals lurking around homes. Also we are advising the public to leave your home secure at all times, secure all valuables in a home safe or safety deposit box and cut back overgrown trees and bushes close to the house. Meanwhile, a serving police officer appeared in Magistrates Court today charged with an offense in relation to an ongoing investigation. The officer is currently suspended pending the outcome of the Court Case.
As this matter is now before the courts the BPS will have no further comment on this matter until the conclusion of the case.
