Bailey’s Bay Cricket Club Shooting Victim Remains in ICU

At last check around 7am Friday, July 3rd the 40 year old Hamilton parish man shot and injured at Bailey’s Bay Cricket Club a few minutes after 12am Thursday, July 2nd remained in critical condition at the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

The investigation continues and any witnesses that may have seen suspicious activity between 11pm Wednesday, July 1st and a few minutes after 12am Thursday, July 2nd in the surrounding Bailey’s Bay, Ducks Puddle Drive Hamilton parish area should contact the Serious Crime Unit on 247-1739.

Visitors Injured in Two Vehicle Paget Collision

Around 1:20pm on Thursday, July 2nd first responders attended a reported two vehicle collision on Harbour Road in Paget near ‘Red Hole’ involving a rental cycle and a van.

A visiting couple on the rental cycle was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Both vehicles involved were damaged.

At last check the 61 year old man had been treated and discharged from the hospital while his wife, a 56 year old woman, was recovering in stable condition on a general ward.

A 54 year old relative of the couple was riding another rental cycle behind them and stopped to help at the collision scene.

However, after assisting his injured loved ones he apparently fainted and was also taken via ambulance to the hospital as a precaution.
