Assault

Around 8:15pm on Saturday, December 12th, first responders attended a reported assault in the vicinity of Court Street and Elliot Street in Pembroke.

It appears that a 45 year old Pembroke man was punched by an unknown male of stocky build wearing a baseball cap, causing the Pembroke man to fall to the ground.

Apparently the victim was initially unconscious, but regained consciousness prior to being transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment.

The 45 year old man is now being treated for his injuries on a general ward and inquiries regarding this incident continue. Any witnesses that have not already come forward should contact the Hamilton Police Station on 247-1704

Boat Parade

The Bermuda Police Service is reporting a relatively uneventful 2015 Christmas Boat Parade with very few incidents of note to report.  We would like to thank the boating public as well as the community at large for their support.

Drug Arrests

Police can confirm that as a result of diligent border patrol by HM Customs, a 66 year old Bermudian man has been arrested and is now assisting police  with inquiries after he was found importing drugs to the island.

A full investigation into this matter is now underway and a court appearance is expected in due course.

Meantime, police after executing a warrant at a residence on South Terrace/Deep Dale area on Friday, a quantity of controlled drugs were seized and two men and one woman were arrested and a full investigation into this matter is now underway.
