19 Year Old Man Assaulted [Updated]

Around 1:20pm on Tuesday, June 21st police and first responders were dispatched to a reported assault that took place in a staff only area off Whaler Inn Beach in Southampton.

It appears that two men assaulted a 19 year old male Fairmont Southampton Resort employee with a bladed article.

The victim was taken to hospital via ambulance for treatment of facial injuries. However his  condition is unknown at this time.

A condition update will be given when available.

The suspects are believed to have left the area on a motorcycle, one wearing a black helmet and black clothing while the other wore a white helmet with a visor.

The scene is being processed and inquiries are underway‎.

Update: Wednesday, June 22ndAt last check, the 19 -year-old male who was assaulted in the Whaler Inn Beach area on Tuesday  21st June,  was placed on a general ward for observation at King Edward Memorial Hospital, and his injuries are not considered to be life threatening.

Police continue to appeal for witnesses who may have information regarding this incident to call the Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.

Motorcyclist and Pedestrian Injured in Collision

Around 7:25am today Tuesday, June 21st, a reported serious collision occurred at the south round-a-bout in the Trimingham Road, South Road Paget area.

It now appears that a motorcycle, an auxiliary cycle and a pedestrian were involved.

Both the motorcyclist and the pedestrian were injured and taken to hospital for treatment.

After medical assessment, their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Apparently the auxiliary cycle rider was not injured.
