Four Star Deliveryman Robbed by Two Men in Paget Friday Night

Around 10pm Friday, September 7th police officers responded to the reported robbery of a Four Star Pizza deliveryman in the Bostock Hill East, Paget area.

Apparently two male suspects – each brandishing a bladed article – approached the Four Star employee and demanded money when he stopped his motorcycle at the top of the hill.

Inquiries Underway Regarding Stabbing Incident

Inquiries are currently underway regarding a stabbing incident.

Details remain limited at this time – but the incident apparently took place in the Ord Road area of Paget or Warwick late Wednesday night (September 5th).

A 20 year old man said to be from Warwick attended King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment of stab wounds and at last check this morning (September 6th) he was listed in stable condition on a general ward, recovering from non-life threatening injuries.

Reported Missing Person: Jamil Simmons [Located]

The Bermuda Police Service is appealing for the public’s assistance in locating 38 year old Jamil Simmons.

Mr. Simmons – who was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, black shorts just past the knee and black shoes – is described as dark complexioned, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall of medium build, weighing about 210 pounds with short cut black hair.

He was apparently last seen in the pre-dawn hours of Wednesday morning (September 5th) in the Fort Hill Road, Middle Road Devonshire area.

Two Boats Involved in Separate Marine Incidents Monday Night

Around 9:30pm Monday, September 3rd marine police officers responded to a report of a boat on the rocks with three persons aboard near the ‘Head of the Lane’ maritime channel marker. 

The boat’s driver, said to be a 34 year old Devonshire woman, was apparently unhurt and arrested on suspicion of piloting or being at the helm of a boat while impaired.

Second 15 Year Old Boy Released on Police Bail Regarding Prowling

A 15 year old boy arrested Friday (August 31st) in connection with a report of prowling outside an Aubrey Road, Hamilton parish residence was subsequently released on police bail pending further enquiries.

He is the second 15 year old boy arrested and released on police bail regarding this matter.

15 Year Old Boys Arrested in Connection with Prowling Outside Home [Updated]

A 15 year old boy was arrested Thursday evening (August 30th) in connection with a report of prowling outside an Aubrey Road, Hamilton parish residence.

A second 15 year old boy was arrested today (August 31st), also in connection with this matter.

The incident was captured on the home’s security camera system and shared via social media.

Advisory: Counterfeit Bermuda $50 Notes Currently in Circulation

Residents and businesses are advised to be vigilant for counterfeit Bermuda $50 notes currently in circulation, bearing serial number A/I 509979 and A/I 441162.

This week alone – after the arrest of two men – police have seized 35 fake Bermuda $50 notes, which are easily identifiable by their low quality and having the ‘Longtail’ portrait on both sides of the note.

Additionally, each note is poorly cut and contains none of the official security features, such as the hibiscus watermark or metallic thread.

The Bermuda Police Service Roads Policing Unit continues to investigate the circumstances behind the apparent single vehicle motorcycle collision that claimed the life of 18 year old Jen-Naya Simmons on 15th July, 2018.

The collision occurred east of the Aquarium on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish.

Two Men Arrested in Connection With Murder of Danshun Swann

The Bermuda Police Service can confirm that a 24 year old man and a 25 year old man were arrested today (August 28th) in connection with the murder of 25 year old Danshun Swann and both men remain in police custody at this time.

A 19 year old man arrested Monday (August 27th) in relation to the melee that occurred around 12:10am that day outside Southampton Rangers Sports Club has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Driver Hurt in Sandys Parish Crash Saturday Treated & Discharged

At last check this afternoon (August 27th), the 25 year old male driver hurt in a single vehicle car crash around 1:25am Saturday, August 25th on Somerset Road in Sandys parish near the junction with Wilson Place had been discharged from the hospital, after receiving treatment for a leg injury.
